Why did we make beeswax wraps? To reduce plastic rubbish!
What have we been learning about? How to make a beeswax and how to reduce.
Instructions for how to make a beeswax warp
- Pick a 100% cotton.
- Get pinking shears and cut the edges.
- Put the Beeswax and sprinkle it all around.
- Put the Old Towel on the table.
- Put the baking paper on the bottom and top of the cotton like a sandwich.
- Get the iron and iron it until the beeswax melts.
- Pull the baking paper really carefully.
- Wave the cotton so they can cool down.

This month is plastic free Jury? In our class we have been looking at the plastic in our classroom and the plastic rubbish that we create. We've also been learning about how our plastic rubbish impacts o our and wildlife.
To help reduce the amount of single use plastic (like cling film) that we throw away, we had a go at making some beeswax wrap.Beeswax wraps are good for our environment because they can be reused again and again. anyways here are some photos.
